New Micro Connectors for UHPLC at ASMS 2008
The Upchurch Scientific® line of Ultra High Performance (UHP) fittings and connectors increases the ability of a separation system to handle the demands of today’s newest techniques. Conductive stainless steel connectors rated to 28,800 psi (1930 bar), and high performance polymer fittings rated to 15,000 psi (1034 bar), withstand the demands of today’s UHPLC and HPLC instruments. Used in applications requiring greater efficiency, speed and resolution, these UHP fittings and connectors effectively handle the stresses of higher temperatures and greater column pressures.
The Micro Connectors will be exhibited at ASMS 2008 at the IDEX Health & Science Group Booth #76.
High pressure MicroFerrules are made from a proprietary high performance PEEK™ polymer blend, a material unique in its ability to enable the use of capillary tubing in UHPLC environments. The new high pressure MicroFerrules are available for use with 1/32" and 360 µm OD tubing, and are incorporated into several of our new UHP products.
Ultra High Pressure Connectors, made totally from stainless steel or from stainless and polymer components, enable direct connection of voltage to the flow path. Configurations are available for standard connections with 360 µm, 1/32" and 1/16" OD tubing.
These new products expand the Upchurch Scientific line of high temperature and ultra high pressure fittings.
