1.1 Cette norme propose des directives et une spécification particulière cadre pour les nanomatériaux à base de cellulose (NMC). Les directives et la spécification permettent de déterminer et d’énumérer les propriétés et les caractéristiques essentielles relative aux méthodes d'analyse correspondantes de CSA Z5100 et des autres normes. Les NMC de cette norme comprennent la cellulose nanocristalline (CNC), la cellulose nanofibrillée (CNF) et la cellulose microfibrillée (CMF). 1.2 Les valeurs numériques des propriétés et caractéristiques de la spécification particulière cadre ont été volontairement laissées vides et devraient être déterminées par une entente entre le client et le fournisseur de nanomatériau à base de cellulose.
