Lamp caps and holders together with gauges for the control of interchangeability and safety - Part 1: Lamp caps
GX16t-5 capped tubular LED lamp - Safety specifications
IEC 62931:2017 This document specifies the safety and interchangeability requirements together with the test methods and conditions required to show compliance of non-integrated tubular LED lamps, intended for general lighting purposes, having: a rated wattage up to 70 W, a rated voltage up to 190 V ripple free DC, GX16t-5 cap as listed in Table 1. The requirements of this document relate only to type testing.
GX16t-5 capped tubular led lamp - Safety specifications
This document states the technical and dimensional requirements for lampholders for tubular fluorescent lamps and for starterholders, and the methods of test to be used in determining the safety and the fit of the lamps in the lampholders and the starters in the starterholders. This document covers independent lampholders and lampholders for building-in, used with tubular fluorescent lamps provided with caps as listed in Annex A, and independent starterholders and starterholders for building-in, used with starters in accordance with IEC 60155, intended for use in AC circuits where the working voltage does not exceed 1000 V r.m.s. This document also covers lampholders for single-capped tubular fluorescent lamps integrated in an outer shell and dome similar to Edison screw lampholders (e. g. for G23 and G24 capped lamps). Such lampholders are tested in accordance with the following clauses and subclauses of IEC 60238: 9.4; 9.5; 9.6; 10.3; 1; 12; 13.2; 13.5; 13.6; 13.7; 14; 16.3; 16.4; 16.5 and 16.9. This document also covers lampholders which are integral with a luminaire or intended to be built into appliances. It covers the requirements for the lampholder only. For all other requirements, such as protection against electric shock in the area of the terminals, the requirements of the relevant appliance standard are applicable and tested after building into the appropriate equipment, when that equipment is tested according to its own standard. Lampholders for use by luminaire manufacturers only are not for retail sale. This document also applies, as far as is reasonable, to lampholders and starterholders other than the types explicitly mentioned above and to lamp connectors. Where the term "holder" is used in this document, both lampholders and starterholders are intended. Where the term "bi-pin lampholder" is used, lampholders for wedged caps are also intended.

Amendment 52 - Lamp caps and holders together with gauges for the control of interchangeability and safety - Part 2: Holders
Amendment 53 - Lamp caps and holders together with gauges for the control of interchangeability and safety - Part 3: Gauges
Amendment 56 - Lamp caps and holders together with gauges for the control of interchangeability and safety - Part 1: Lamps Caps
Amendment 15 - Lamp caps and holders together with gauges for the control of interchangeability and safety - Part 4: Guidelines and general information
This document applies to bayonet lampholders B15d and B22d for connection of lamps and semi-luminaires to a supply voltage of 250 V. This document also covers lampholders which are integral with a luminaire or intended to be built into appliances. It covers the requirements for the lampholder only. For all other requirements, such as protection against electric shock in the area of the terminals, the requirements of the relevant appliance standard are observed and tested after building into the appropriate equipment, when that equipment is tested according to its own standard. Lampholders for use by luminaire manufacturers only are not for retail sale. Where lampholders are used in luminaires, their maximum operating temperatures are specified in IEC 60598-1. B15d denotes the cap/holder fit as defined by IEC 60061-1, sheet 7004-11 and IEC 60061-2, sheet 7005-16 with the corresponding gauges. B22d denotes the cap/holder fit as defined by IEC 60061-1, sheet 7004-10 and IEC 60061-2, sheet 7005-10 with the corresponding gauges.

IEC 60838-1:2016 is available as IEC 60838-1:2016 RLV which contains the International Standard and its Redline version, showing all changes of the technical content compared to the previous edition. IEC 60838-1:2016 applies to lampholders of miscellaneous types intended for building-in (to be used with general purpose light sources, projection lamps, floodlighting lamps and street-lighting lamps with caps as listed in Annex A) and the methods of test to be used in determining the safe use of lamps in lampholders. This fifth edition cancels and replaces the fourth edition published in 2004, Amendment 1:2008 and Amendment 2:2011. This edition constitutes a technical revision. The significant technical changes in this edition with respect to the previous edition include the introduction of new or revised requirements for single and dual contact ignition voltages, steel test caps and brass test caps and an Annex E listing amended requirements/clauses which require products to be retested.
Miscellaneous lampholders - Part 1: General requirements and tests
IEC 60838-2-3:2016 applies to lampholders for double-capped linear LED lamps intended for building-in (to be used for general lighting service and with caps as listed in Annex A). Lampholders within the scope of this standard do not include heat management. Double-capped linear LED lamps can also be used with lampholders originally been designated for other technologies. The requirements for these lampholders are covered by separate standards. This publication is to be read in conjunction with IEC 60838-1:2004.
