IEC 60598-2-2:2011 specifies requirements for recessed luminaires incorporating electric light sources for operation from supply voltages up to 1 000 V. This section does not apply to air-handling or liquid-cooled luminaires. This third edition cancels and replaces the second edition published in 1996 and its Amendment 1 (1997), of which is constitutes a technical revision. The changes introduced by this new edition are those required to maintain consistency later versions of IEC 60598-1 that have been published since the previous edition of this standard.

IEC 62386-201:2015(E) is available as IEC 62386-201:2015 RLV which contains the International Standard and its Redline version, showing all changes of the technical content compared to the previous edition. IEC 62386-201:2015(E) specifies a bus system for control by digital signals of electronic lighting equipment. This electronic lighting equipment should be in line with the requirements of IEC 61347. This document is applicable to control gear associated with fluorescent lamps. This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition published in 2009 and constitutes a technical revision. The essential changes with respect to the first edition are: - references to subclauses in IEC 62386-101 and IEC 62386-102 updated to the new structure of the standard; - test sequence reworked and description of the test sequences in form of a pseudo code instead of flow charts.

This International Standard specifies the requirements for a Constant Current Regulator (CCR) having a nominal output of 6,6 A for use in an aeronautical ground lighting constant current series circuit. However, CCRs may be manufactured which have a different power rating (kVA) and current steps than those specified in this standard in order to be used on existing circuits. This standard should be applied where appropriate for these CCRs.

This standard specifies the characteristics of aeronautical ground lighting series transformers (AGLST) used in aeronautical ground lighting for 6,6 A series circuits, at a service voltage of up to 5 kV, supplied by constant current regulators up to 30 kVA in rating. AGL series transformers provide power to airport lighting luminaires or other loads (resistive) from their secondary circuits. The AGL series transformers provide continuity of the series circuit in the event of a loss of the load on the transformer, and electrical isolation between the primary circuit supplied by a constant current regulator, and the secondary circuit connected to the load under conditions defined in this standard. An AGL series transformer is be able to withstand a permanent short or open-circuit secondary series circuit. Specifications for similar series transformers intended for any primary or secondary currents other than 6,6 A, or to supply alternative voltages, constant power, reactive loads, etc., are not included in this standard.

This Technical Specification defines the requirements and testing procedures for inset and elevated luminaires with lamps used in aeronautical ground lighting systems and excluding luminaires for general lighting. This Technical Specification is applicable to inset or elevated luminaires used for: – approach lights: centreline, crossbars, supplementary approach; – runway lights: runway guard, threshold, threshold wingbar, centreline, edge, touch down zone, runway end, stopway lights; – taxiway lights : centreline, edge, stopbar, intermediate holding position lights; – heliports: aiming point, perimeter, fato luminaires. The purpose of this Technical Specification is to provide a set of requirements and tests, which are applicable to the luminaires and their control equipment. In general, this Technical Specification includes safety requirements for the luminaires. This Technical Specification is not applicable to visual approach slope indicator systems (PAPI (precision approach path indicators) etc.) and signs. Any other equipment not described in this Technical Specification is excluded from its scope.
