标准的要求依据GB/T 12653《中国薰衣草（精）油》、IS0 3515《薰衣草油国际标准》、DB65/T 3833-2015《地理标志产品 伊犁薰衣草精油》的要求，通过近几年对新疆区域内真薰衣草油的检测数据分析，对国家标准中规定的特征组分含量进行了科学性的调整。 通过近年来对真薰衣草油监测数据采集分析，新疆伊犁霍城地区的真薰衣草油特征组分樟脑最高值达到0.25%，芳樟醇含量最高值达到48.3%，乙酸芳樟酯含量最高值达到53.4%，乙酸薰衣草酯含量最高值达到10.8%。根据以上检测数据，在制定本次真薰衣草油地方标准时，对真薰衣草油特征组分含量要求进行适当调整，樟脑调整限值为0.5%，芳樟醇调整为20%—50%，乙酸芳樟酯调整为25%—55%，乙酸薰衣草酯调整为0%—12%。
