This Recommendation provides radio-frequency channel arrangements for point-to-point (P-P) fixed wireless systems operating in the 42 GHz (40.5 to 43.5 GHz) band, which may be used for high, medium and low capacity systems. The preferred radio-frequency channel arrangements are based on multiples of basic channels of 7 MHz width merged to form higher channel widths up to 112 MHz. Additional option for block arrangement suitable for deployment of a variety of fixed wireless access (FWA) systems using multipoint technology as well as PP links for infrastructure and access purpose. Third option for a flexible mixed use of the above deployment methodology is also described.

This Recommendation provides radio-frequency channel and block arrangements for fixed wireless systems (FWS) operating in the 71-76/81-86 GHz range, which may be used for broadband applications and other high-speed networks. The preferred arrangements are based on common homogeneous pattern with elementary slots of 125 MHz. The preferred radio-frequency block arrangements are based on 5 GHz sub-band or block possibly subdivided to form smaller blocks. The preferred channel arrangement provides flexible identification of channel sizes from 250 MHz to 4 500 MHz and duplex frequency either of 2.5 GHz (single sub-band, 71-76 GHz or 81-86 GHz, arrangement) or 10 GHz (joint sub-bands, 71-76 GHz and 81-86 GHz together, arrangements).

The channel spacing recommended in the main text is 40 MHz with 15 and 55 MHz guardbands as well as a second arrangement also using a channel spacing of 40 MHz but with a 35 MHz guardband. Arrangements with channel spacings other than 40 MHz and used in some countries are also provided in the recommends referring to several annexes.

This Recommendation 1 describes an algorithmic model for parametric non-intrusive bitstream assessment of video media streaming quality – lower resolution (LR) application area. This algorithmic model can be applied to the monitoring of the video quality of IP-based video services based on information extracted from the video bitstream encoded with the ITU-T H.264/AVC baseline video codec. The model is intended especially for the lower resolution application area, including such services as mobile TV. The ITU-T P.1202.1 model is a no-reference (i.e., non-intrusive) model which operates by analysing information in the video bitstream without fully decoding the bitstream. Further client specific information, such as concealment type and rebuffering duration, is provided to the algorithm out-of-band, for example in the form of stream-specific side information. As output, the model algorithm provides an estimate of the video quality in terms of the five-point absolute category rating (ACR) mean opinion score (MOS) scale defined in [ITU-T P.910]. This Recommendation describes the algorithm that takes an elementary stream encapsulated in RTP/UDP/IP as input, where information from RTP headers is used to identify lost pictures.

This Recommendation addresses two application areas:–[ITU-T P.1202.1] specifies the model algorithm for the lower resolution (LR) application area, including services such as mobile TV.–[ITU-T P.1202.2] specifies the model algorithm for the higher resolution (HR) application area, which includes services such as IPTV. This Recommendation 1 specifies the algorithmic model for the higher resolution (HR) application area of [ITU-T P.1201]. [ITU-T P.1201] specifies models for monitoring the audio, video andaudiovisual quality of IP-based video services based on packet-header information. The higher resolution application area of the ITU-T P.1201.2 part of [ITU-T P.1201] can be applied to the monitoring of performance and quality of experience (QoE) of video services such as IPTV.
