Twist-and Pull Test. With the.connector held stationary, the cable shall be gripped 2 to 3 inches from the connector and twisted lg0 degrees in a clockwise direction, released, and twisted 180 degrees in a counterclockwise direction and released. Following the twist test, the cable shall be gripped approximately 6 inches$.rom the connector in such a manner as not to damage the cable. A 20 pound weight shall be applied gradually to the connector and held for 30 seconds. Following the test, the cable assembly shall meet the requirements of (a) D.C. resistance, (b) D.W.V., (c) insulation resistance in accordance.with MIL-C-3885.
