矿棉绝热毡及毡型管状绝热材料（金属网覆盖）（工业型）¹

此规范适用于矿棉绝热毡及毡型管状绝热材料（金属网覆盖）（工业型）的组分、尺寸、物理性能。用于应用温度低于环境0°F（?18°C）的冷表面和高达1200°F（649°C）的与大口径容器和罐体的连接的热表面。此温度范围外的特定实际应用由生产商和购买商之间协商。

ASTM C592-13规范将所涵盖范围内的矿棉毡绝热材料应分为四种类型。

I型，II，和III被列为金属网覆盖毡，而第IV类为工业型、非金属型网覆盖（表面与非表面）毯。分类依据是最大使用温度和表观导热系数。
