It is the intent of this standard to provide general criteria by which to govern the inspection of highway structures (bridges) on interstate@ Primary and Secondary roads@ relative to painting needs as well as cleaning and controlling the operations thereof. inclusive under cleaning and painting shall be preparation of surfaces@ application of the paint@ protection and drying of the applied paint@ all material and equipment necessary for the protection of structures and public by any of the painting operations.
