This test method provides a standard laboratory procedure for evaluation of simulated human impacts on window systems intended for installation in psychiatric hospitals and facilities, as well as other occupancies with similar concerns. For the purpose of this test method, those window systems included are: fixed, projected, casement, dual-action, interior accessory windows, window wall, curtain wall, and fixed storefront. While other window types may be used in these applications, they are outside the scope of this test method, and may require different procedures.
