Scope

This standard specifies the determination of chloroform, carbon tetrachloride, trichloroethylene, dichloromonobromomethane, tetrachloroethylene, monochlorodibromomethane and tribromomethane in drinking water and its source water by packed column gas chromatography. This method is applicable to the determination of chloroform, carbon tetrachloride, trichloroethylene, dichlorobromomethane, tetrachloroethylene, monochlorodibromomethane and tribromomethane in drinking water and its source water. The minimum detection mass concentrations of this method are: chloroform 0.6 μg/L; carbon tetrachloride 0.3 μg/L; trichlorethylene 3 μg/L; dichlorobromomethane 1 μg/L; tetrachloroethylene 1.2 μg/L; Chlorodibromomethane 0.3μg/L; tribromomethane 6μg/L.
