In this standard treats straight-sided splines with 0°angle of pressure, heavy series. This heavy series has relative to the DIN ISO 14 more teeth for higher load capacity. This standard provides geometry and the associated tolerances. The fundamental procedure details for the inspection from DIN ISO 14 are here also valid and not indicated additionally.

This translation has been made based on the Amendment to the origi¬nal Japanese Industrial Standard revised by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry through deliberations at the Japanese Industrial Standards Committee as the result of proposal for revision of Japanese Industrial Standard with the draft being attached, based on the provision of Article 12 Clause 1 of the Industrial Standardization Law applicable to the case of revision by the provision of Article 14. Consequently, JIS B 0904:2001 is partially replaced with this Amendment.
