This European Standard specifies the requirements for the design and testing of spring loaded pressure relief valves and thermal expansion valves for use in:- static LPG pressure vessels, NOTE The pressure vessels can be situated above ground, underground or mounded; - LPG pressure vessels on road tankers, rail tankers, tank-containers or demountable tanks. This document does not address production testing. Normative Annex B prescribes testing with conditioning at - 40 °C for valves for use under extreme low temperature conditions. The requirements for pressure relief valve accessories such as isolating devices, changeover manifolds and vent pipes are specified in EN 14071. EN 14570 identifies the requirements for the pressure relief valve capacities for static pressure vessels. EN 12252 identifies the requirements for the pressure relief valve capacities for road tankers. Valves designed in accordance with this standard are specifically for use in LPG applications. Valves manufactured in accordance with EN ISO 4126-1 may also be used in certain LPG applications. Terms used with LPG pressure relief valves are described graphically in Annex A.

3.1 This guide sets forth minimum standard requirements for use in building codes and ordinances relating to self-closing and self-latching single leaf access, general-purpose gates. 3.2 This guide does not apply to double leaf or double drive access gates. 3.3 This guide does not have the effect of law, nor is it intended to supersede Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines, local codes or ordinances of a more restrictive nature. 1.1 This guide establishes the recommended minimum requirements for the design, construction and performance of self-closing and self-latching single leaf, general-purpose access gates. It is intended to provide an added degree of reliability in the performance of the self-closing and self-latching devices mounted to these gates. 1.2 This guide should be referenced whenever any other standard requires a single leaf access gate to be self-closing and self-latching, with the exception of standards for pool or outdoor child safety gates. 1.3 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematical conversions to SI units that are provided for information only and are not considered standard. 1.4 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use. After installation and inspection, it is the responsibility of the homeowner or property manager to inspect and adjust the hardware, or the gate, or both, to compensate for ground movement and other factors so that the gate continues to effectively self-close and self-latch.

It states the fundamental requirements for both; the connection and its components and includes basic dimensions. Included in this International Standard are the following connections: - yoke type outlet connection for SCUBA use up to a maximum cylinder working pressure of 232 bar; - threaded type outlet connections up to a maximum cylinder working pressure of 232 bar and 300 bar; and - threaded type outlet connection for SCUBA use up to a maximum cylinder working pressure of 232 bar including adaptor for users to convert into a yoke type outlet.

The guideline defines an interface between lifting actuator and positioner that allows the interchangeability of attachments (positioners, pilot valves) to control valves. It is a concept which is open to all manufacturers of lifting actuators and positioners and which allows interchangeability in the same drive of positioners from different manufacturers. This European Standard defines the constructional and operational characteristics, the safety requirements, test methods and the marking of regulators and automatic change-over devices having a maximum regulated pressure of 4 bar, with a maximum capacity of 150 kg/h, for use with butane, propane and their mixtures in the vapour phase. This European Standard also applies to the safety devices which are included within regulating devices covered by this standard. The characteristics of these safety devices are given in Annexes A and B. This European Standard also includes the requirements for: adaptors for connecting to self closing valves; auxiliary safety devices. For the purpose of this European Standard: regulators and automatic change-over devices are referred to as "regulating devices"; regulators, automatic change-over devices and adaptors are referred to as "devices". The requirements apply to devices used in locations where the temperature likely to be reached during use is between -20 °C and +50 °C. Additional requirements for devices to be used at temperatures below -20 °C are given in Annex C. Additional requirements for regulating devices intended to be used in caravans, motor caravans and freshwater boats are given in Annex D. Additional requirements for regulating devices intended to be used in seawater boats are given in Annex M. For specific use in caravans motor caravans and boats (freshwater and seawater), the automatic change over device function may also be carried out by an assembly of regulators, forming an "automatic change over device system" as defined in 3. For installation rules of devices and their possible associated safety devices, reference should be made to national regulations in force in the member countries.
