1   Scope This document specifies the particular requirements for wrought aluminium and aluminium alloys in the form of circle or circle stock for culinary utensils applications. This document is applicable to: — circles made out of hot or cold rolled circles stock, with a thickness from 0,2 mm up to and including 12 mm and with a diameter from 100 mm up to and including 1 600 mm; NOTE Circles with a diameter up to 1 000 mm can be produced by blanking. — hot or cold-rolled circle stock with a thickness from 0,2 mm up to and including 12 mm and with a width up to 1 600 mm. This document is not applicable to slugs for impact extrusions which are dealt with in other European Standards.

This specification establishes requirements for sand castings produced from copper-base alloys having the alloy numbers, commercial designations, and nominal compositions. The alloys the classified according to their nominal compositions: UNS No. C95200; UNS No. C95300; UNS No. C95400; UNS No. C95410; UNS No. C95500; UNS No. C95520; UNS No. C95600; UNS No. C95700; UNS No. C95800; UNS No. C95820; and UNS No. C95900. The castings shall conform to the chemical requirements specified. Mechanical properties shall be determined from separately cast test bar castings and shall meet the requirements. Brineel and Rockwell hardness readings shall be taken on the grip end of the tension test bar and shall be made in accordance with the specified requirements.

This European Standard specifies the particular requirements for wrought aluminium and wrought aluminium alloys in the form of coil coated sheet and strip for general applications. This product is generally supplied in thicknesses up to 3,0 mm. It applies to cold-rolled aluminium and aluminium alloy strip coated by the coil coating process both with liquid as well as with powder paints, either in the final width or slit afterwards, and to sheet obtained from such strip. It does not apply to coil coated sheet and strip used for special applications such as cans, closures and lids which are dealt with in separate EN 541.

1.1 This specification covers corrugated aluminum alloy structural plate used in the construction of pipe, pipe-arches, arches, underpasses, box culverts, and special shapes for field assembly. Appropriate fasteners are also described. The pipe, arches, and other shapes are generally used for drainage purposes, pedestrian and vehicular underpasses, and utility tunnels. Aluminum box culvert shapes are covered in Specification B864/B864M. 1.2 This specification does not include requirements for bedding, backfill, or the relationship between earth cover load and plate thickness of the pipe. Experience has shown that the successful performance of this product depends upon the proper selection of plate thickness, type of bedding and backfill, controlled manufacture in the plant, and care in the installation. The purchaser must correlate the above factors and also the corrosion and abrasion requirements of the field installation with the plate thickness. The structural design of corrugated aluminum structural plate pipe and the proper installation procedures are given in Practices B790/B790M and B789/B789M, respectively. A procedure for using life-cycle cost analysis techniques to evaluate alternate drainage system designs using corrugated metal pipe is given in Practice A930. 1.3 The values stated in either inch-pound units or SI units are to be regarded separately as standard. This document specifies technical conditions for inspection and delivery of alloys EN AW-6060 and EN AW-6063 extruded precision profiles manufactured with and without a thermal barrier (see Figures 1 and 2) and without further surface treatment. Precision profiles for which this document is applicable are distinguished from extruded profiles for general applications covered in EN 755-9 by the following characteristics: — they are designed with mostly uniform wall-thicknesses; — they are mainly used for mechanical engineering, architectural and automotive (except crash-elements) applications; — the maximum weight by meter is 10 kg/m; — the max. wall-thickness proportion (tmax/tmin) of 3,5. In the case of profiles, which, due to the complexity of their design are difficult to manufacture and specify, then special agreements between supplier and purchaser may need to be reached. NOTE The effect of the thermal barrier material on the dimensional tolerances is covered by EN 12020-2 although the actual thermal barrier material itself is not (see EN 14024).
