Diese Prüfnorm gilt nicht für Situationen mit beschränkter Luftzufuhr oder bei denen große Hitze herrscht, für die andere Prüfverfahren besser geeignet sind. Dieses Prüfverfahren ist nicht für Materialien geeignet, die in ausgedehntem Maße schmelzen oder schrumpfen.
