This amendment has been prepared by subcommittee 61 C: Household appliances for refrigeration, of IEC technical committee 61: Safety of household and similar electrical appliances.

Replace the two dashed items in the eight paragraph by the following: - persons (including children) whose - physical, sensory or mental capabilities; or - lack of experience and knowledge prevents them from using the appliance safely without supervision or instruction; - children playing with the appliance. Replace the second clashed item of Note 1 by the following: in many countries, additional requirements are specified by national health authorities, the national authorities responsible for the protection of labour, the national water supply authorities and similar authorities.
