Specifies a series of internationally agreed port and location codes for use where coded representation is required for the names of ports, airports, inland clearance depots and freight terminals and other locations used for goods movements associated with international trade. This code list has particular relevance in information exchange between participants in such trade and to users of the United Nations Electronic Data Interchange Standard, UN/EDIFACT. It is supplied electronically on a 90mm (3.5 inch) diskette.
