从SAI公司网（http://limsgate.saiman.co.uk/sai/index.jsp）下载一堆东西，仔细研究发现，Zoom Optics（缩放透镜）很有意思，不妨在此说说，唯恐我英语理解有偏差，把关键内容的原文copy在此，还望谅解。

据称，LaserToF TT 是一台研究级TOF/TOF（ Research Grade MALDI MS/MS instrument）, 提供快速、精确的无缝MS/MS分析（ rapid and accurate single scan seamless MS/MS analysis），两种碎裂模式：单分子和双分子（uni- or bimolecular fragmentation），尤其是激光Zoom Optics，号称是该仪器灵敏度优于100attomol的关键，且能在极宽质量范围内保持分辨率一致。

Zoom Optics是怎么回事？

原来，该仪器的激光采用光纤引导多重反射获得非常均一的激光流（激光光斑的每一点的激光强度一致），Zoom Optics再把激光直径进行改变，范围在50～800um（正是质谱成像之必需！），最后Zoom Optics与可变视野（视频系统）配合，可使得激光刚好全部照射在样本斑点上。

这样的双透镜离子光学系统以及理想的曲线场反射器（quadratic field reflectron），使得该仪器具有高分辨率和高准确度。

The laser optical system uses an optical fibre introduce multiple reflections and give a homogeneous laser fluence over the

entire laser spot. This is then coupled into a zoom kernel allows variation in the diameter of the laser spot 50 microns to 800 microns onto the sample, gives a more precise laser fluence control.

The laser zoom optics system is coupled to a Variable Field of View Time of Flight Instrument, which is ion optically matched to the size of the laser spot.

This consists of a two lens ion optical system coupled to an ideal field reflectron thus enabling high resolution and mass accuracy ToF MS and TOF TOF MS/MS data.
