Zoom Optics是怎么回事?
原来,该仪器的激光采用光纤引导多重反射获得非常均一的激光流(激光光斑的每一点的激光强度一致),Zoom Optics再把激光直径进行改变,范围在50~800um(正是质谱成像之必需!),最后Zoom Optics与可变视野(视频系统)配合,可使得激光刚好全部照射在样本斑点上。

The laser optical system uses an optical fibre introduce multiple reflections and give a homogeneous laser fluence over the
entire laser spot. This is then coupled into a zoom kernel allows variation in the diameter of the laser spot 50 microns to 800 microns onto the sample, gives a more precise laser fluence control.
The laser zoom optics system is coupled to a Variable Field of View Time of Flight Instrument, which is ion optically matched to the size of the laser spot.
