Aluminum containing adjuvants include aluminum hydroxide adjuvants and aluminum phosphate adjuvants. Aluminum hydroxide is more widely used due to its own characteristics during use. Aluminum hydroxide adjuvant is used at 4.5 nm × 2．2 nm × Fibrous particles present at 10 nm, with an isoelectric point (ipe) of l1.4. This type of particle aggregates in loose l~10 lµ The form. of m size exists.

Aluminum adjuvants are effective against many different vaccine antigens in current vaccines, have excellent safety characteristics, are associated with minimal reactivity, and are inexpensive. 氢氧化铝通过释放Th2相关细胞因子（IL2，IL-4，IL-5...）和Th13相关抗体（IgG2和IgE）刺激Th1反应。它增加Ag特异性CD4 + T细胞增殖并促进NALP3炎症小体活化和半胱天冬酶1介导的IL-1和IL-18释放。
