性激素结合球蛋白（SHBG）是一种95kD的同源二聚体糖蛋白，在肝脏中合成，在血浆中的半衰期为7天。SHBG以高亲和力特异性结合类固醇激素（DHT>睾酮-雌二醇；DHEA/雄烯二酮/雌三醇），其主要功能是性类固醇在血流内和血管外靶组织中的转运。SHBG还通过性类固醇对可用结合位点的竞争和SHBG浓度的波动，在调节生物可利用性类固醇浓度方面发挥关键作用。血液中SHBG浓度表现出高度的个体间变异性，并受雄激素/雌激素平衡、营养状况、体重指数、性别、胰岛素浓度等因素的影响。
