Day of the great awards. Thomson Medals were awarded to Cathy Costello, Catherine Fenselau and Peter Roepstorff. The Curt Brunnee Award was received by Alexander Makarov out of the hands of Curt Brunnee himself. Furthermore, the JMS Award was given to five gifted young researchers. Pictures by J. H. Gross
