Within the general scope defined in B30 Standard Introduction, Section I , ASME B30.2 3 may apply to hoisting and accessory equipment covered within certain volumes of the ASME B3 0 Standard, which is used to lift, lower, hold, or transport personnel in a platform, bywire rope or chain, fromhoist equipment, or by a platform that is mounted on a boom of the hoist equipment. The lifting of personnel is not allowed using some ASME B30 Standard equipment.
