This British Standard specifies requirements for crown bottle openers designed for the standard crown closures specified in CE.T.I.E. data sheet EC 1-02 [1], to suit the glass bottle finishes specified in CE.T.I.E. data sheets GME 13.01 [2] and GME 13.02 [3]. It applies to hand-held openers of the aperture type.
