Part 1 of this standard applies to all types of iridustrial-process control valves (hereafter referred to as control valves). It establishes basic definitions, specifies tolerances on flow coefficients, provides classifications, outlines a fiow testing method for incompressible fluids and gives seat leakage r?tes and marking requirements.
Note. — Other parts of this standard will cover control valve sizing under installed conditions, actuator selection, routine test procedures, and face-to-face dimensions.
