This standard prescribes requirements for processed black pepper and white pepper, Piper nigrum Linnaeus in the whole form and ground form. It does not apply to categories of black and white peppers called "light categories". 1.2 When the term "pepper" is used alone, it signifies that the specification applies to both black and white peppers.
