This Standard deals With welding units-fed by an alternating current electric mains whose voltage to ground does not exceed 250 volts.
This Standard does not apply to arc welding units that include an electric generator.
The requirements of this Standard apply also-to-units intended for operation in locations where a more hazardous possibility prevails, only in that case the unit shall comply with other or additional requirements not mentioned in this Standard.
