This Environmentally Conscious Design for Electrical and Electronic Products standard specifies requirements and procedures to integrate environmental aspects into design and development processes of electrical and electronic products, including combination of products, and the materials and components of which they are composed. The existence of this standard does not preclude particular sectors from generating their own, more specific, standards or guidelines.
