This standard deals with masonry work using masonry units made of natural stone or cast stone.
1.2This standard does not cover:
—ashlar walling (cf. DIN 18332),
—cast stone work (cf. DIN 18333),
—dry lining and partitioning (cf. DIN 18340),
—work on external thermal insulation composite systems (cf. DIN 18345).
1.3DIN 18299, clauses 1 to 5 shall also apply. In cases where the specifications of DIN 18299 contradict the present standard, the latter shall take precedence.
