Chemical analysis of particulates in ambient air; determination of thallium and its inorganic compounds as part of the dust precipitation by atomic absorption spectrometry
In this guideline the complete procedure for the determination of thallium contained in the dust precipitation by means of the atomic absorption technique is described. The thallium concentration in ambient air in the Federal Republic of Germany amounts to 0.3 to1µg/m2d. Near the sources of emissions up to 50 µg/m2d have been measured.
