Determination of suspended matter in ambient air - Digestion variants for dust samples for the subsequent determination of the mass concentration of Al, Sb, As, Pb, Cd, Ca, Cr, Co, Fe, K, Cu, Mg, Mn, Na, Ni, Se, V and Zn
The standard describes seven best practise digestion variants for the determination of elements in airborne dust or in deposition. Used are open methods with hydrofluoric acid respectively with hydrofluoric acid and perchloric acid as well as different microwave assisted digestions. In parallel measurements the efficiency of the different digestion variants for determination of the different elements were tested by using certified reference materials (CRM) and also deposited quartz fibre filters. The digestion solutions can be analysed depending on matrix and element concentration with graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry (GFAAS), inductively cou
