1. Scope 1.1 This Standard applies to cord-connected electric clocks intended for use in household and other ordinary (non-hazardous) indoor locations in accordance with the rules of the Canadian Electrical code, Part I, and having a rating not exceeding 125 volts a.c. and 30 watts input. 1.2 This Standard includes household clocks with and without alarms and dial lights, and digital type clocks. 1.3 This Standard does not apply to clocks which incorporate a receptacle, clocks which form a part of a master clock system, time clocks, job card recorders, timers and similar devices; and clocks in combination with other equipment not primarily designed as a clock 9e.g. table lamp, radio or electric range incorporating a clock).
