This Technical Specification covers the preanalytical phase and recommends the handling, documentation and processing of urine, venous blood plasma and serum intended for metabolomics analysis. This Technical Specification is applicable to metabolomics examinations and is of importance to biomedical laboratories, customers of laboratories, in vitro diagnostics developers and manufacturers, institutions and companies performing biomedical research, biobanks, and regulatory authorities. The adoption of the described procedures for the preanalytical phase make it possible to compare and evaluate the results obtained from metabolic profiling analysis.

Diese Internationale Norm stellt im Dialysebereich tätigen praktischen Ärzten eine Anleitung zur Herstellung von Dialysierflüssigkeit für Hämodialyse und verwandte Therapien sowie Substitutionsflüssigkeiten für den Einsatz bei Online-Therapien, wie der Hämodiafiltration und der Hämofiltration, zur Verfügung. Damit fungiert diese Internationale Norm als empfohlene Praxis. Die vorliegende Internationale Norm behandelt die Verantwortung, die der Anwender für die Dialysierflüssigkeit übernimmt, sobald die für deren Herstellung verwendete Ausrüstung angeliefert und installiert wurde. Für die Anwendung dieser Internationalen Norm umfasst Dialysierflüssigkeit das für die Herstellung der Dialysier- und Substitutionsflüssigkeit verwendete Dialysewasser (siehe 3.18 für die Definition), das für die Herstellung der Konzentrate in der Einrichtung des Anwenders verwendete Dialysewasser sowie Konzentrate und die fertige Dialysier- und Substitutionsflüssigkeit. Der Anwendungsbereich dieser Internationalen Norm umfasst: a) das Qualitätsmanagement der Ausrüstung zur Aufbereitung und Verteilung des zur Herstellung von Dialysier- und Substitutionsflüssigkeit verwendeten Wassers von dem Punkt, an dem das kommunale Wasser in die Dialyseeinrichtung eintritt, bis zu dem Punkt, an dem die fertige Dialysierflüssigkeit in den Dialysator eintritt oder an dem die Substitutionsflüssigkeit infundiert wird; b) die Ausrüstung zur Herstellung von Konzentraten aus Pulver oder anderen hochkonzentrierten Medien in der Dialyseeinrichtung; c) die Herstellung der fertigen Dialysier- oder Substitutionsflüssigkeit aus Dialysewasser und Konzentraten. ANMERKUNG Da das zur Herstellung der Dialysierflüssigkeit verwendete Wasser meistens mit derselben Ausrüstung hergestellt und verteilt wird wie das Wasser zur Wiederaufbereitung der Dialysatoren, wird auch das zur Wiederaufbereitung der Dialysatoren verwendete Wasser in dieser Internationalen Norm behandelt. Diese Internationalen Norm gilt nicht für sorbent-basierte Dialysierflüssigkeits-Wiederaufbereitungssysteme, in denen kleine Volumina der Dialysierflüssigkeit wiederaufbereitet und wieder in Umlauf gebracht werden; Systeme für die kontinuierliche Nierenersatztherapie, bei denen vorverpackte Lösungen zum Einsatz kommen, sowie Systeme und Lösungen für die Peritonealdialyse.
