Dopo disgregazione del minerale con perossido e carbonato di sodio, si liscivia la massa fusa con acqua, si separa il residuo che contiene tutto il calcio ed il magnesio e, previa separazione dalla silice e degli idrati di ferro ed alluminio, si determinano la calce per via volumetrica mediante precipitazione con ossalato ammonico e titolazione con permanganato, e la magnesia nel filtrato dell' ossalato di calcio per via ponderale mediante precipitazione del magnesio come fosfato ammonico-magnesiaco, che si trasforma per calcinazione in pirofosfato di magnesio. Dopo disgregazione del minerale con perossido di sodio, si separa l' idrato di ferro mediante doppia precipitazione, si scioglie l' idrato in acido-cloridrico e si determina il ferro mediante titolazione con cloruro stannoso e permanganato potassico. Si disgrega il minerale con perossido di sodio, si scioglie la massa fusa raffreddata in acido cloridrico, si insolubilizza la silice mediante duplice evaporazione a secco della soluzione cloridrica della massa fusa e infine si filtra la silice, si calcina e si determina mediante evaporazione con acido fluoridrico.
