The Parallel Plate Plastometer is widely used for determination of the plasticity and recovery of silicones and unvulcanized rubber compounds.

Elastocon instrument EV08 is based on our relaxation rig using a digital gauge (0,001 mm).

The test is commenced when the upper plate is gently lowered onto the sample with a force of 49 N. The sample height is
recorded at regular intervals and stored by a software.

The EV 08 can be used either in room temperature or by using a cell oven (type EB 01 or EB 07) at elevated temperature.
Customers already having our relaxation rigs (EB 02) need only to buy some additional parts with software and can then convert existing rigs.

The same rig with some other parts can also be used for compression set at low temperature. This instrument is called EV 09.
