Loaded Multiphoton Imaging for In Vivo Studies
The basic Ultima Investigator system configuration includes the Investigator scanner, two hand-selected multialkali detectors, an upright microscope platform, a motorized focus, eyepieces and epitube, laser transfer and beam shaping optics, one set of emission path dichroics and filters, rack-mounted control electronics, and a high-performance workstation.

The integrated tilting nosepiece allows the objective to be set for off-axis imaging. Off-axis objective orientation simplifies access to specimen areas of interest, and minimizes scatter from structures, such as the cerebral cortex.
The compact scan head has standard 6 mm raster scanning galvanometers, as well as an optional 8 kHz resonant scanner for high-speed scanning.
