目前共主持国家级和省部级项目34项，包括国家自然科学基金重点项目2项，国家自然科学基金重大国际合作项目1项，国家自然科学基金国际合作项目1项，“973”重大基础研究计划课题1项，国家自然科学基金面上项目20项、基金青年基金15项，科研经费总计达3000余万元。
The Hunan key Laboratory of Medical Epigenomics at the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University was founded in November 2010 as a platform for biomedical and clinical research. The laboratory’s main focus is to investigate the role of epigenetic changes in the pathogenesis of complex human diseases, such as cancer, autoimmune diseases and aging, with the ultimate goal of developing novel therapies for the treatment of these diseases. The current director is Professor Qianjin Lu, and the chairman is Professor Honghao Zhou. Dr. Lu is an expert in the field of epigenetics of disease. Dr. Zhou is a distinguished member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Members of the Hunan key Laboratory of Medical Epigenomics hold three patents and have published 170 papers in top research journals, including The Lancet, JAMA, Blood, Nat commun and J Immunol, etc. These articles have been cited by more than 3000 times by SCI indexed journals, such as New Engl J Med, Nature, Nature Genetics, etc.
