Methods for Drug Studies in Aggressive Behavior
关键词: drug studies aggressive behavior来源: 互联网
Behavioral pharmacology is the detection, description, and explanation of drug effects on behavior. It can be divided into four subsections:
1. | The neurochemical or physiological basis of behavior is investigated by using drugs with a known mechanism of action; |
2. | Behavior is used to measure the potency, spectrum of action, and structure-activity relationships of drugs; |
3. | Drugs can be used to produce models of pathological conditions; and |
4. | The mechanism of action of drugs can be investigated, such as their electrophysiological or neurochemical basis. |
These four areas clearly require different methods, and aggressive behavior can be used in all of them.
