Abstract The specification and application of one typical rapid PCR
instruments SpeedCycler2 ,made by Analytik-jena.AG, Germany, are described. It
is introduced that how SpeedCycler2 increased the PCR speed by increasing the
PCR ramp rate, and decreasing the temperature difference between the PCR module
and sample solution. The possible increasing of PCR specificity is also
introduced. Some application of rapid PCR in Human Genome, long piece DNA
research in Plant Genome, and forensic are listed, and the possible progress in
gene research by using rapid PCR was concluded.
