Wood preservatives. Determination of the protective effectiveness against Lyctus Brunneus (Stephens). Part 1: Application by surface treatment (laboratory method)
This Part of EN 20 specifies a method far the determinaticn of the protective effectiveness ar the taxie values of a wood preservative against infestatlcn by Lyctus brunneus (Stephens) when the product Is applied as a surfaoe treatment to wood.
This method Is applicable to :
- water-insoluble Chemicals which are being studied as active insecticides, ar,
- arganic fornulations, as supplied ar as prepared in the labaratary by dilution of concentratjes, ar,
- organic water-dispersible fontulaticns as supplied ar as prepared in the laboratnry fay dilution of aonosntrates, ar
- water-soluble materials, for example salts.
NOTE : Thls method may be used in oonjunction with ageing proosdures, which do not remove the atided nutri?nt.
