1. SCOPe 1.1 This Standard contains requirements for 25 and 38 mm forged
quick-connect couplings and adapters of the external lug design for use in the
forestry service. NOTES: 1) Quick-connect coupling and adapter sizes are in reference
to the forestry hose end. 2) The requirements for non-forged External-Lug Quick-Connect
Couplings and Adapters for Forestry Fire Hose are contained
in Standard ULC-S558. 1.2 The couplings are intended for use with forestry fire hose of the 25
and 38 mm standard sizes. NOTE: Where the word "couplings" is used, it shall also refer to
adapters.
