This Recommendation applies to wire-line telecommunication equipment having a rated r.m.s. AC or DC supply voltage not exceeding 600 V. The Recommendation specifies the electromagnetic compatibility common requirements and the test methods for wire-line telecommunication network equipment@ used in a public telecommunication networks to provide telecommunications services: voice@ data@ audio and video to the end-users@ using all applicable media and all kinds of wire-line access technologies. Wire-line telecommunication network equipment with radio functions are not in the scope of this Recommendation; draft Recommendation ITU-T K.136 (ex.K.radio-EMC) applies to equipment with radio function. Test conditions for all kinds of wire-line telecommunication network equipment are described@ e.g. access equipment@ router and switching equipment@ optical transmission equipment@ data centre and cloud computing equipment and power supply equipment (including HVDC). The Recommendation describes the specific immunity testing levels@ performance criteria as well as limits of emission test to be applied to wire-line network telecommunication in different environments.
