Carpet cleaning products - Specification for spray extraction machine formulations used in liquid form

- This Part of BS 4088 specifies requirements for physical, chemical and performance properties of formulations which are used with water in spray extraction machines for cleaning textile floor coverings. Requirements for labelling and instructions for use are also specified. NOTE. Products containing additives with functions other than cleaning may conform with this Part of BS 4088. Typical additives include optical brightening agents, colorants, preservatives, antimicrobial agents, soil-resistant and stain-resistant agents, perfume and odour neutralizing compounds.
