适用范围
(1) EN 1993-4-2 provides rules for structural design of vertical cylindrical, conical and pedestal above-ground steel tanks for the storage of liquid products. (2) EN 1993-4-2 is applicable to the design for resistance of cylindrical walls and flat bottoms constructed using unstiffened plates. The design of conical and dome roofs as shell structures (unsupported) or as supported on a structural framework (supported) are also covered. (3) EN 1993-4-2 does not apply to the following: a) tanks with gross capacity less than 5 m3 (5 000 l); b) dished-end tanks that have a diameter less than 5 m; c) tanks with characteristic internal pressures above the liquid surface greater than 500 mbar) (see pressure equipment directive); d) design metal temperatures outside the ranges defined in Clause 5. e) tanks of rectangular and other non-circular planforms; f) tanks exposed to fire; g) floating roofs and floating covers; h) tanks according to the European standard EN 14620; i) ancillary structures such as stairways, platforms, nozzles, piping and access doors. (4) The rules of this standard are also useful for the design of tanks with a storage volume less than 5 m3. (5) EN 1993-4-2 is only applicable to the requirements for resistance and stability of steel tanks. Other design requirements are defined in other Eurocode parts (EN 1990 to EN 1999) including EN 1997 for foundations and settlement as well as EN 1090 for considerations of fabrication and erection. Other useful information is given in EN 14015 for ambient temperature tanks and in EN 14620 for cryogenic tanks. These other requirements include special issues on foundations and settlement, fabrication, erection and testing, functional performance, and details like man-holes, flanges, and filling devices. (6) EN 1993-4-2 covers only steel tank structures as defined in EN 1991-4 as in Tank Groups 1, 2 and 3. The rules governing Tank Group 1 are also useful for the design of tanks in Tank Group 0. This standard does not cover Tank Group 4. (7) Provisions concerning the special requirements of seismic design for tanks are provided in EN 1998-4, which complements the provisions of Eurocode 3 specifically for this purpose. (8) The design of a supporting structure for a tank is covered by the provisions of EN 1993-1-1. (9) The design of an aluminium roof structure on a steel tank is covered by the provisions of EN 1999-1-5. (10) Foundations in reinforced concrete for steel tanks are dealt with in EN 1992 and EN 1997. (11) This standard includes suitable rules for the design of tanks intended to store solids suspended in a liquid, where the appropriate global density of the mixture is used. NOTE Tanks used for the separation of mineral particles of different density fall into this category. (12) A conical hopper on a tank is covered by the provisions of EN 1993-4-1. (13) The design of a transition junction between the base of a cylindrical shell wall and a conical hopper, and the design of a supporting ring girder are covered by the provisions of EN 1993-4-1. (14) The following dimensional limitations apply (see EN 1991-4): Tank aspect ratio H0/d < 10 (1.1) Tank total height H0 < 70 m (1.2) Tank equivalent diameter d < 100 m (1.3)
