Details test and examination criteria for gas appliance connectors comprised of semi-rigid metal tubing and having a fitting at each end provided with taper pipe threads for connection to a gas appliance and to house piping, consisting of corrugated tubing depending on all-metal construction for gastightness. Such connectors are suitable for connecting gas-fired appliances to fixed gas supply lines containing natural, manufactured or mixed gases, liquefied petroleum gases or LP gas-air mixtures at pressures not in excess of 1/2 psig. These connectors are limited to a maximum nominal length of 6 feet and are not intended for continuous movement. This standard does not apply to gas appliance connectors covered under ANSI Z21.2, Z21.45, Z21.54 or Z21.69.
