适用范围
1. Scope 1.1 The requirements of this Standard apply to the design, manufacturing, installation, maintenance, and operation of power presses. 1.2 This Standard covers the occupational health and safety requirements for all classes of power presses that are fitted with a ram (plunger or slide) and dies for the purpose of blanking, cutting, trimming, drawing, punching, forming (bending), stamping, assembling, or processing metal and other materials. 1.3 It is recommended that a schedule be developed and implemented that will ensure compliance with all applicable parts of this Standard no later than 2 years from the date of its publication. 1.4 This Standard sets forth general health and safety requirements for power presses and details safety requirements in danger zones in and around the point of operation. 1.5 Any material of which the temperature during processing exceeds 760 °C (1400°F) is associated with the metal-forging industry and is outside of the scope of this Standard. (See CAN/CSA-Z615.) 1.6 The objective of this Standard is to reduce the risk of injury due to hazards from the operation, maintenance, and set-up, while working on, or adjacent to, a power press. 1.7 This Standard covers both part- and full-revolution clutch mechanical presses. 1.8 A press is typically not a stand-alone device, but rather is integrated into an automated work cell with other machinery or devices that have standards covering their use. Other machinery and work environment standards applicable to the workplace where this Standard is being implemented should therefore be reviewed. 1.9 In CSA Standards, ?shall? is used to express a requirement, i.e., a provision that the user is obliged to satisfy in order to comply with the standard; ?should? is used to express a recommendation or that which is advised but not required; and ?may? is used to express an option or that which is permissible within the limits of the standard. Notes accompanying clauses do not include requirements or alternative requirements; the purpose of a note accompanying a clause is to separate from the text explanatory orinformative material. Notes to tables and figures are considered part of the table or figure and may be written as requirements. Legends to equations and figures are considered requirements. 1.10 The values given in SI (metric) units are the standard. The values given in parentheses are for information only.
