This specification covers a corrosion and heat resistant cobalt alloy in the form of investment castings. These castings have been used typically for parts requiring high strength up to 1500 degrees F (816 degrees C) and oxidation resistance up to 2000 degrees F (1093 degrees C), but usage is not limited to such applications. Exposure to elevated temperatures greater than 1200 degrees F (649 degrees C) may result in hardness as high as 44 HRC.
