This specification covers a corrosion and heat resistant cobalt alloy in the form of investment castings. These castings have been used typically for parts requiring high strength up to 1500 °C(816 °C) and oxidation resistance up to 2000 °C (1093 °C), but usage is not limited to such applications. Extended exposure to temperatures greater than 1200 °C (649 °C) may result in hardness as high as 44 HRC.
