1.1 This standard gives the chemical and physical requirements for a liquid
product of defined composition, used for cleaning glass. It is not suitable
for cleaning plastic surfaces. 1.2 Liquid glass-cleaner produced in accordance with this standard
is intended for use on windows and other glass surfaces. It should not be used
as an automatic windshield washer fluid because of the deleterious effects the
materials may have on other surfaces of the vehicle. Windshields may be
cleaned by hand using this product.
