This standard applies to round thin-walled steel silos made of wall plates with a thickness between 0.75 and 4 mm which will be filled and emptied centrally. The silos may be filled with all non-cohesive loose bulk materials according to DIN 1055 part 6. In the case of emptying the silo from the top cohesive materials are allowed as well. The standard contains typical constructions- and design rules as well as special information on the corrosion protection of the silos.
