The winches equipped with electric, hydraulic or pneumatic drive or unpowered winches are provided for hoisting, lowering and holding of accomodation ladders. The requirements according to these functions refer to the type of winch including several design details, as well as to the strength of component parts, the safety of operation and to the required power. Moreover, conditions for the acceptance tests of accomendation ladder winches are stated.#,,#
